a passage to retell
- A young man rode a shared bike home, afraid someone else would ride off on it the next day. So he pushed it into a corner behind his building and even covered it with leaves. The next morning he went to the corner and found the bike gone. He had to walk to the subway station, getting angrier and angrier. To his surprise, the bike was parked right at the subway entrance, with a note stuck on it. It was from the old man downstairs: “The corner isn’t safe, so I rode it here for you.”
a passage to read aloud
